On a Trolley to Treasure Island

Isn't this the neatest way to travel to a field trip destination? I went with LiLi's class to see Treasure Island last week. Because their school is located in the downtown area it is much easier to hire a trolley to take the kids to the Children's Theater. We sure looked smarter than any of the other schools as we climbed off our cute trolley and they clambered out of the big yellow bus.

Unfortunately, this might have been the highlight of the trip for me. The play was Treasure Island. I am not a fan of pirates, swashbuckling, treasure hunting, ships, did I mention pirates? I really just endured the play. The kids enjoyed it. That is good enough for me.

After the play we walked next door to the park and ate a picnic lunch. The weather was great! There was a slight breeze and the temps were about 70. Just perfect for some fun in the park. The kids were able to run around and chase geese after they ate. They loved it!
The geese........not so much! I love this school and I love the teachers. We are so fortunate
to attend this school. I am having so much fun being the room parent and doing all these fun things.

Isn't that cool? I love that they were able to ride the trolley to the Art Center.
